The DLX design was launched during the 24/25 season and quickly became a talking point in the floorball world. The shiny shaft in all the colors of the rainbow really stood out from the black shafts that have dominated design-wise in recent seasons.
According to Unihoc, the DLX sticks were a success, and that is why they have chosen to continue spinning the same design language when they were going to manufacture Justus Kainulainen's (!) stick.
Kainulainen is one of the very best players in the world, and perhaps the most important cog in the Finnish national team that took home the World Cup gold in 2024. Ahead of the 25/26 season, Justus signed for Unihoc, and will play with their sticks for the next few seasons. So this is the first season they have manufactured this stick together.
The DLX stick comes in three different designs:
- The official stick that Kainulainen himself plays with, a MAX 27 in an oval design.
- A round MAX 27 that is better suited for the Swedish market.
- A JR model with a MID 29 shaft and a slightly different finish on the shaft, but in the same color theme.
All models feature Unihoc's most popular blade, UNILITE, in Titan plastic (PP+).
UNILITE is an extremely light blade (only 64.5 grams) and has a lovely cupping and forehook, which makes it a versatile blade that most people can play with. It is a relatively small blade, and incredibly smooth to dribble and pass with.
This particular stick has a MAX shaft, i.e. 100% carbon fiber. The shaft is therefore very light, while at the same time providing maximum performance when shooting and passing.
The grip profile is round, which is what most floorball players in Sweden use.
Flex 27 mm is a shaft stiffness that is very all-round, it suits both men's players, women's players and older juniors.
